Rainout decisions are posted on the SAC HC website under Field Status and recorded on the field status line ( 410-992-1111) for the Northrop Fields at Covenant Parks and the Howard Community College fields. The announcement will include the time that it is made. On weekends, this occurs around 6:00 am on Saturday and Sunday. Decisions about evening play is typically made and posted by 4:00 pm.

If no message is made about weather, please have your team show up at the field.

Referees can make decisions on playable conditions before or during the game.  The referee can halt the game temporarily or call it off completely.

For recreational teams, whose games are canceled because of a referee's decision, the policy is that if 51% of the game is completed, the game counts as a completed game and the score will stand. If less than 50% is completed, the coach should contact the appropriate Age Group Coordinator for instructions. Generally speaking, if the score of the game at the time of termination is lopsided (eg. 3-0) and the game is less than 51% complete, it will be considered a completed game.

If the game is canceled by the referee, each coach will notify the Age Group Coordinator who will determine if the game is to be rescheduled. In line with SAC HC policy, the last coach of the day is responsible for collecting the nets and goals when the rest of the games are canceled (when safe) or at the end of the day.

For travel teams, whose games are canceled because of a referee's decision, contact your league representatives about completion/rescheduling decisions.
