Age Requirement: Team placement is based on the player’s age using a fiscal year beginning August 1 and ending July 31st.
Thus, a child born on August 15, 2003, is considered a U-5 in seasonal year 2008-2009 and a child born August 15, 2002, is considered a U-6 for the same period. Age Chart

Purpose: Designed for players aged 4 and 5 to learn skills and build teamwork. Boys and girls play on gender-specific teams based on district/school location. No goalkeeper is used so all players can develop good foot skills.
Tryouts: Not required
Practice: Not required
Games: Teams meet typically on Saturday morning for the eight week season (fall and spring). In each season (fall and spring), U-5 teams (age 4) meet for an hour and U-6 teams (age 5) meet for an hour and a half.
The first half of each practice is devoted to skills, and the second half of the practice consists of a coach-facilitated game with no referees.
Location: Play occurs on a small field at various Howard County public schools.
Cost: $80 to $135 depending on date of registration and age. Consult fee schedule for details.
Uniform: Club provides reversible jersey and socks
Equipment provided by parent: Size 3 soccer ball, quart size water bottle, shin guards, soccer cleats optional.
